Ricky Chiappetta
Ricky,
My kiddos adored you, my family loved you like their own, you stood next to my brother with a smile on your face as he said, "I do" two weeks ago, you always thought of others first, you made car rides from College Station to Temple so fun and entertaining, you always asked people sincerely how they were doing, you were third wheel ALWAYS with Ty and Shannon and they never ever minded, you made our hearts smile....
Rick Joseph Chiappetta was killed head on in a car accident today on his way to Sam Houston State University. The driver that hit him feel asleep at the wheel. Ricky stood at Tyler's side at his wedding on Sept. 11th 2010 and I can still see his smile when the exchanged the words, "I do". He had such a loving heart and always thought of others. Today we mourn Ricky.....to see both my brothers heart ache I wish there was more that I could do. Ricky was always there for my family and he will be greatly missed.

little brown footprints
Allen has this thing about "boys airing out" so this morning Reese was airing out and was running around diaperless. We take this opportunity to talk about the potty and what goes in the potty hoping that Reese will get it and go teetee or potty in there. Allen took Ginny to school since this morning has been pretty chaotic. We got a continuous call at 5:20AM from a dallas number and after calling back 2 times we found out that it was just a wrong number. We were ALL up and wide awake and had settle back in to sleep which was soooo hard. SO, needless to say, we didnt ALL wake up until 8:30AM and Ginny has to be at school at 9AM, NICE! So, it was like a scene from Home Alone around here were we are all yelling and trying to get everyone out of the door.
In the morning, Reese watches a show and I check my emails, facebook, blogger etc. He ran into the playroom that is off our kitchen and I heard him coloring on the chalkboard. Remember the AIRING out thing, yeah, well I should have known. Well, he came to me and was saying, "yuck" and pointing to his foot. I checked the TOP of his foot and everything seemed ok and he ran to keep playing in his playroom.
I saw him running into the living room where his potty was and thought to myself, "He is gonna do this and I will get the Mommy of the Year award for teaching my son to be potty trained before TWO". Then, I heard PLOP PLOP PLOP and Reese was standing up.........Then, with such excitement he raised his hands and said, "I DID IT". See...he picked up his poop and ran into the living room to PLACE it into the potty and to little Reese, mission was accomplished. It took 2 seconds to look down and see little poop foot prints everywhere! Footprints and plops of poop covered the hallway and carpet. But, atleast Reese DID IT!!! hahahaha!!! SO cute, but this Mommy is thinking that we will wait for potty training for a couple of months since cleaning up this morning was an hour project. I would have taken pictures but none of my friends would want to have their girls date Reese because it was such a disaster.....so think of little brown footprints and there you go!
HAPPY THURSDAY!!!!

Better when we're together.....
The hardest time for me is when Ginny is at school and Reese is home with me. He misses his sister sooo much! Even though they fight every 2 seconds when they are both at home it beats the "where is Ginny" all day long from Reese. He adores his sister and she adores him. You would never think this as they tend to scream, bite, hit, and take from each other. Deep down I know that they could not live without one another. Here are some random pics that I found on my computer that I took.....I love when they dont know I am watching~
Reese with my camera
Ginny is at school=Reese is bored=Mommy can't get anything done!
Here is Reese....I set the timer on my camera and these are the faces he captured! What a silly little guy!
12 weeks and 5 days
(I LOOK ROUGH, just rolled out of bed and took this in Ginny's bathroom...dont judge!)

They aren't lying when they say "boys are harder to train". Ginny came to us and wanted to wear panties and have NOTHING to do with diapers. Reese on the other hand has used the potty as a pony, bath for his figurines and a place to throw his sisters barbies. I HAVE to get this kid out of diapers before Baby #3......prayers needed all around!

Oh, Pumpkin Spice Latte
Why is it that as soon as this delicious treat hits the menu at Starbucks that Fall officially starts in my mind. Football is on TV, you bring your sweatshirt out (even though it is 90 degrees), the scents of Fall are scattered all over your home in the form of Tyler Candles or in your Scentsy burner, you start browsing to see what the latest and greatest fashions will be this Fall, you bring out the tall boots in anticipation to pair them with a cute pair of skinny jeans with a baggy sweater, the Halloween costume catalogs cram your mailbox, you search Foodnetwork.com for recipes of stew, pumpkin bread, baked goods, you enjoy nights on the couch with your family just because Fall is normally associated with tons of snuggles, life slows down and you savor the little moments......
ALL BECAUSE THE PUMPKIN SPICE LATTE HITS THE MENU AT STARBUCKS........FALL HAS OFFICIALLY BEGUN!

Lately......
So many new and exciting things happening in our home!
Ginny-
Ginny LOVES her school, Kids of the Kingdom in the Woodlands! She has met some fabulous friends and everyday she has the biggest smile on her face! Ginny is my child that LOVES homework, loves to read, loves to learn so everyday that she goes to KOK (Tues, Wednes and Thurs) she is super excited. I barely get a kiss when she walks in the door because she has morning duties to take care of.....put her folder up, backpack up etc....she is so responsible it is just crazy! So responsible that tonight she gave me a HUGE hug and said, "thank you Mommy for teaching me how to organize...I love to organize." How funny is that?! She spent her Sunday evening organizing her jewelry box, her bow drawer and even helped Mommy clean out her closet to make room for Fall things! WOW! I just love a girl with organization! We went to Container Store and stocked up on fun things for organizing and had a blast. Where were my two boys when this was taken place??! They were downstairs playing soccer and messing up the house. Clearly, the girls and boys in this household are COMPLETELY different! Other than that, she wants a sister sooooooo bad that I dont know WHAT she is going to do if she has a little bother...I mean brother. ha! It was so cute because tonight we went through all her clothes and she made a stack to give to her sister. Bless her heart! We will tackle this obstacle if it is a boy, but until then in Ginny's little mind the Rosenbaum house will be ruled by PINK come March 2011.
Reese-
He is ALL BOY!!!!!!!!!! Like, play in the dirt, messy face, wants to be naked all the time...BOY! He has a low voice and growls at everything! He is difficult to take out to eat, difficult to put in his car seat, difficult to change a diaper..DIFFICULT! BUT, I LOVE it! I love his little challenges and I love that everyday he brings something new to our family. We work best when challenged and Reese is just that! He adores football, LOVES Yo Gabba Gabba and loves to run run run! He also is going to the same school as Ginny but only one day a week. I am THAT parent that is emailing/calling/begging etc for an extra day. One day a week, really?!! He LOVES school as well and it my heart melt the other day when I picked him up and he was dressed as a fireman! HOW CUTE! He loves his "friends" and everytime he leaves he says, BYE FRIENDS! I have been stopped by hundreds of people asking how old he was since he talks like a three year old. I mean, the kid...TALKS..no babble, no one words...he is sentences! Here are some of Reese's favorite phrases.
" I want (fill in the blank)" but it is normally, milk, Wubbie, Yo Gabi, eat.
"GOOOOO FOOTBALL"
"GigEm Aggies"
"I'll get it"
"Be right back"
"Eat, please"
"Shake your booty" (learned this from the song)
"Mommy, I am Nakie"...yes, he LOVES being naked and sharing it to the world!
The kid can point to anything and name it...for example here are some of the crazy things he can identify:
Giraffe
Soccer Ball
Butterfly, bee, ant
Potty (ha, this one cracks me up because he knows all about it but wont use it!)
Other kids dirty diapers (he says," Mommy...ushie", and points at other kids
Computer
Anything food related...he knows em all
Church
I cannot even think right now of the others but Reese is constantly talking. He says phrases that normal little ones dont say and it trips people out! I must say that NO we dont work with him on words...he gets it all from Ginny! Ginny and Reese carry on full conversations and it is so adorable.
Baby #3-
I am almost 12 weeks and thank the Lord that I am almost through this first trimester. I have been sooooo soooo sick. I would throw up like every other day and then for a week every other hour and then now it is slowing down to a couple times a week but I am always nauseas! I dont have time to stop and rest....I just keep going! I have thrown up in grocery stores, on the side of the road, hotel bathrooms, preschool bathrooms, you name it! I just get it down and keep going! I cannot say, "Kids, mommy is sick today so I am just gonna lay in bed all day." NOPE. Doesnt work! Did I mention I LOVE LOVE Zofran!?!?!! It really has helped out a lot!!!! What a miracle drug for Mommys that have morning sickness. We heard the heartbeat the on Sept. 2nd and all is well...measured at 175 BPM. Seems really high but the doc said that baby is very healthy! It looks like my due date is more like March 24th but we all know that I have it embedded in my mind that my babies dont go full term. Like, I will harass the doc to get that baby out two weeks before! Mark.My.Words.... I am not a natural birthing person, I think medicines, epidurals, IVs are there for people like me so I should use them to the greatest effect! Baby #3....we love you already and cannot wait til Oct. 6th when I find out BOY or GIRL!!
Of course, the night is getting late so Allen, sweetie...I love you and sorry I am not writing a paragraph about you! There is nothing really excited other than that we are super excited for fall, football, holidays and baby appointments!
Did I mention my baby brother, Tyler is getting married this weekend!??!!!! I cannot believe this BUT Shannon and Ty are adorable together! I cannot wait to share pics with you from the weekend!!!! We have 6 days til the big day!!
