I am excited to see my childhood friends grow up, get married and THEN have a precious baby girl! Lee and Sally, she is beautiful. I bet you guys just stare at her 24/7 because the short time I was there that was all I wanted to do. Examine her little nose, her little hands, her tiny feet....goodness, GOD IS GOOD!! I cannot wait to watch our kids grow....Reese, I am sure is going to give Lee a run for his money!!! She is precious and simply gorgeous already! Sally, you look amazing for just having a baby and Lee, I know you are going to be the best daddy!
BIG YAWN!!!

watching her Mommy's every move!

I love her!!! There is something so sweet about babies GIRLS!!

COLBY LEE ANTHONY
What a fun day....Reese had the chance to meet his bud Colby! I love him Mary Beth! Colby cracks me up with his hair and that flirty little smirk! I cannot believe that a baby at 3 1/2 months could be such a flirt already! Reese wanted to eat him up all day long. I think he wanted to get him out of his carrier and play football with him already! Reese just talked and talked and then Colby would respond with a baby word or two! These boys are going to be great friends and I cannot wait to watch them grow up together! I know the Anthonys and Rosenbaums will have some fun times together in the near future!! What a fun visit Mary Beth...I enjoyed catching up and we will have to do this more often!
Reese ATTACKING Colby....Colby with his smirk thinking, "this boy is CRAZY!!"

Meet JAX

We might be crazy...BUT....we have a new addition to our family come July 11th. His name is Jax Rosenbaum and he is an "English White Lab". He is simply precious and comes from a very high profiled pedigree! We thought this would be the time to attempt this puppy thing since this mother dog isnt going to be having anymore puppies... SO...one artificial insemination and 12 puppies later we have JAX! I am sure my posts to follow will be all about "why the heck did I get this dog"...BUT, until then, he is cute, lovable and we are so excited to welcome in to our crazy life!

Jax, the one walking, always running the show!

The Magic Bullet Blender

I have the BEST MOM....why?? Because she got me this...THE BULLET! And I am addicted to making home made baby food for Reese. Lets face it, the stuff in the jar is nasty...Reese loves when I pull this thing out because he knows he is about to get some fresh, home made fruits and veggies. It is fun trying new things with this bad boy! I use it daily and get extra excited when I figure out a new baby food recipe! Here are some fun ones that Reese LOVES!! Go get this thing at BED BATH AND BEYOND and HAPPY BLENDING! :)

VEGGIES

Reese's favorite veggies- AVOCADO, SWEET POTATOES, SQUASH, CARROTS, SWEET PEAS and GREEN BEANS
FRUITS
Reese's favorite fruits- APPLES, PEARS, MANGOS, BLUEBERRIES, PEACHES and KIWI ( Did I mention that Reese isnt a fan of bananas?? Isnt that strange for a little one???)

Apple baby food - Apple and Sweet Potato Soup (6 months+)

2 tsp flour
2 tsp unsalted butter
6 fl oz (3/4 cup) low sodium or homemade chicken broth
2 tsp applesauce (use our recipe above)
6oz (3/4 cup) sweet potatoes (cooked)
pinch ground ginger (optional)
pinch ground cinnamon (optional)
4 fl oz (1/2 cup) milk (use breast milk or formula if you prefer)
Melt the butter in a heavy saucepan and stir in the flour. Cook, stirring constantly, until the flour/butter mixture turns golden. Pour in the broth slowly, stirring constantly, then add the applesauce, sweet potato, ginger and cinnamon. Bring the mixture to the boil, then lower the heat until the mixture is simmering gently. Cook for 5 minutes. Puree the mixture (either by transferring to a food processor in batches, or using a hand blender in the pot), then return it to the saucepan. Pour in the milk, warm through gently - and serve.

This site is what I follow when making his meals!!! It has some great info on there as well to help out with your new baby food making adventure!

You Cannot Lose My Love

This song is what I am starting to sing to the kids every night. Well, maybe Reese since Ginny has no patience at all! She wants to read Fancy Nancy or Olivia and call it a night. But, while I nurse Reese I love singing this to him. Our church, Preston Trail Community Church, had a great sermon on TINY TOTS. We learned that God is CRAZY about babies and loves children. We also learned about discipline, patience and their tiny little brains and how to connect with them. It was a precious sermon. Then, Laura Hairston sang this song by SARA GROVES called, YOU CANNOT LOSE MY LOVE. The tears went crazy and I fell in love with this song. It is a sweet little lullaby, easy to sing and has a message that hits the heart!

YOU CANNOT LOSE MY LOVE
by SARA GROVES

You will lose your baby teeth.

At times, you'll lose your faith in me.

You will lose a lot of things,

But you cannot lose my love.

You may lose your appetite,

Your guiding sense of wrong and right.

You may lose your will to fight,

But you cannot lose my love.

You will lose your confidence.

In times of trial, your common sense.

You may lose your innocence,

But you cannot lose my love.

Many things can be misplaced;

Your very memories be erased.

No matter what the time or space,

You cannot lose my love.

You cannot lose,

You cannot lose,

You cannot lose my love.

Download it and enjoy.....it is a sweet song!
