Saltines and Sprite

Today I have my first ultrasound!!! WOOHOO! I dont know how far along I am BUT I think it is somewhere around 7 or 8 weeks.

This pregnancy is soooo different already! I wake up feeling sick, go to bed feeling sick, wake up in the middle of the night feeling sick.....it is just awful! I live on BLAND....SALTINES AND SPRITE taste like HEAVEN these days! Everyone keeps saying that it means I am having a healthy pregnancy BUT I dont think about that when I am barfing my brains out. I remember feeling so bad for Shelby Jacobs...she was super super sick and I kept thinking, "POOR SHELBY". BUT, I have a feeling this little person in me (and yes, I am talking singular..not double...we will know more at 2:00Pm) will give me a RUN FOR MY MONEY!

If everything looks good I think I might share the news. I cannot keep a secret and I am not going to wait until 12-14 weeks...that is too hard for me to do.

I will blog and post a pic of Little RosieToes number 3 this afternoon!

Walgreens Trip

Sooooooo...... I was on the phone with Allen and I got to the check out counter. I had these items in hand.

M&Ms........Cookies and a pregnancy test...........nice combo! ha! Did anyone else take one more test just to make sure AFTER they found out they were pregnant!? The thing about pregnancy is that YOU HAVE NO CONTROL and must have FAITH! God knows this is my weakest attribute....not having control! I am praying for patience during this time!

Oh, yea....it was POSITIVE again! :)

......and then there were 5!

We are excited to announce that another little Rosenbaum will fill love in our home! We are expecting a little one come March!

OK, OK, I am still in shock and thought I would post this as a 'draft" and wait to publish it until I get the affirmation from my doctor, Dr. Westmoreland! I took a pregnancy test on July 14, 2010 and it was a big positive. Allen, for what ever reason, does not trust the line test so I went out and bought a digital test. Again, it said PREGNANT! I waited for him to get home, looked at the test and it was BLANK!!!! ugh! So, I had to do another digital test and folks, those things aren't cheap! Again, PREGNANT! :) I went today, July 16th, to get blood work done and to get on prenatals and such! It looks like I am only about 5 weeks and will wait til about 8-9 weeks to start telling people.

We are all excited! Ginny asked over and over what that "stick" was so we explained to her what was going on! I know it is early, but Ginny is like my best little buddy and I had to tell her about our new family adventure! When I told her about a baby she said the following-

"Mommy, I think we should just call the baby a SHE and think up some girl names...."

"I think I like the names Alice and Kyla best".......obviously she LOVES Alice and Wonderland and got the name Kyla from one of Brooks' friends! ha!

"I cannot wait for you to pump again"- this threw me off because I exclusively nursed Reese for 13 months and used the pump maybe 10 times! Ha! I guess she thinks that little contraption is a nifty one!

I will be drafting posts along the way and hope to share the news soon! I hate secrets and if I could I would share with the world right now......but better safe than sorry!

UGH!

I am so disgusted with myself and not updating my blog. Is it bad that I check everyone else's and when I go to hit POST on mine....I have nothing to say, or the kids need my attention, or I have to edited pics, or my house needs picking up or the timer goes off.....I am just disgusted that I dont have enough time to do anything these days. I want this to be a place that I share all of Ginny and Reese's accomplishments, pictures, cute sayings, etc! But I am failing in the blogging world. Blogging is called blogging because it is something you should do regularly and clearly, I fail at being a blogger. Therefore, here is a letter to my kids....I feel it is necessary since Mother's Day is right around the corner.

Reesers and GinGin,

I might be busy with all that is going on but my love for you won't ever stop. In fact, my favorite pictures that I have ever "taken" are stored in my mind....little memories I will never forget. I hardly pick up the camera when yall are around because A) you hate the camera and B) I want to always make sure that I have two hands so that I give you a big huge, or a helpful hand, or a hand to hold. (We all know my camera has its own bag, its own set of rules and isnt an easy gadget to carry around)

I make tons of mistakes, and sometimes I fail. At night I always think to myself, "I should have done this with them today, or I should have read that book over again slowly, or I should have squeezed them tighter". Then I am reminded that failing is OK and that God forgives us when we fail. And for that....I am grateful! I want to spend every waking second with you two....I want to hold you both in my laps forever and watch reruns of Disney movies over and over (ok, I might be going a little far with the movie thing, but I want the snuggles). I have amazing friends that blog about every word, accomplishment, weight, height, favorite food their kids have and I am AMAZED of their commitment to documenting everything. I am amazed and well, jealous, actually.

Reese, right now, you dont have a baby book. Why you ask?? It is hard for me to put all your pictures, memories of your first year in one little book when I all I have are 3 pictures of your sister's first year. I would do ANYTHING to be able to show Ginny baby pictures, her first crawl, her first tooth, her first bottle.... I wish I could have have 2 minutes of when she was a baby to hear what her cries sounded like and what her skin felt like. I just feel bad having a shrine of pictures for you, Reese and none for Ginny. I will make a baby book for you and Ginny will have a book of her own....BUT, right now I am enjoying the memories in the making!

One thing I know, is that my love for you is, well, there are no words. I shower a little faster, I wear less makeup, my clothes might not match all because I want to rush down the stairs to play with you. I want to be there when you fail, be there when fall and pick you up.......I cannot be your Rock, you have Jesus for that, but I can be your guiding light!

I want your love for Christ to be out of this world. I want you to find a friend in Jesus and I want you to personally know him. I want you to pray for one another and the Lord knows I need you to pray for me! I want you to experience a life where your heart burns for worship and your light shines so that others might know how great He is! I want you to feel proud of your God that you can drop on your knees when your friends need prayer and I want you to pray outloud with others. I want Jesus to live in your heart and I want the world to see his grace through you. Daddy and I will do our best to guide you in His path........just know we are learning right along with you of how FABULOUS Jesus is!!!

So happy Mother's Day.......this day will be a celebration for me not OF me.....I have the two greatest munchkins in the world and that is why I am a mother. Reese and Ginny...I love you!

I love you more than the moon and the stars.
(then Ginny normally says) I love you more than the trees and grass.
I love you more than every thing!

Mommy

My wilderness children

Everyone has been soooo kind to ask, "how are the children adjusting??"....Well, they have become so interested in nature, dirt, birds, trees, you name it! Our backyard is great for them to explore and play. I literally open the door in the morning and they go and go all day out in their backyard. I can see them through the big windows and we normally leave the sliding door wide open! I can hear them both imagining, singing and laughing. It is the best sound along side the birds chirping in the background! We love the Woodlands, it is treating us well....Thank you for asking!

They find sticks, rocks, leaves and even dead animals..I know, sick!!!

They are dirty about 80% of the time......

And always up to something....

And the best part, all the dirt comes off with some fun in the sink!! :)

What do my kiddos do while I edit??

Editing takes F.O.R.E.V.E.R!!! But I love it! I love getting creative and I love photography! But, sometimes my kids HATE IT! They want my attention (this might be why I dont get some pics down as fast as I want) Some days, they are great....they play play play. Other days it gets REAL BAD.....like the day Reese erased all of Brooks Ruggiano's forehead and I had to "put him back together" VERY TEDIOUS and FRUSTRATING. So, in our new home we have a great downstairs play room right off the kitchen. I can sit and edit while they play!!!! YAY!!!! The only drawback is when they see me, they want me. (You know, "out of sight, out of mind"...ugh) So until then, I will enjoy the small increments during the day to get caught up on editing!

Copper Sage Park

This park is located 0.4 miles from our house. YOu see, the difference between Frisco and the Woodlands is the parks, trail, nature, ponds, etc. It amazes me that sooo many people live here yet you go to a park and it is so serene and calm. We found a little playground and had fun there but as soon as Ginny laid eyes on the pond both her and Reese made a MAD DASH! The weather is wonderful here, about 73 degrees and muggy (welcome to Houston). They started to throw things in the water which led to taking off their shoes and getting a little dirty. Reese almost fell in the pond about 10 times and Ginny threw every stick in the water. It was just the three of us- no one around. The wind blew and Ginny looked up in the ski and said, "Thank you Wind"....she too understands that our new home is a muggy home. Reese could have submerged his whole body in the water....he loved it! I cannot wait for pool weather...my kids are ready to get wet and splash around.
This little moment between my two babies is what life is all about! Last night while watching TV (Molly and Jason's Wedding from the Bachelor) Ginny said that she wanted to marry Reese since he was her best friend. MELT.MY.HEART....... and this picture describes her love for her little brother. I am soo thankful that I have a daughter that loves her pesky little brother....Reason number 23,999 why I thank God every day for placing her in my heart!

We are home, taking naps and I am cleaning up from our outing. I think Copper Sage Park will be a new little stop for us!
